AUS v IND 2020-21: WATCH - Jasprit Bumrah given guard of honor by Virat Kohli and co. after first FC fifty

Bumrah's was the highest scorer for India with 55* against AUS A in the pink-ball warm-up match.

India speedster Jasprit Bumrah scored his first-ever half-century in the first-class cricket against Australia A on Friday during the pink-ball warmup match at the SCG.

His innings came for India when they were struggling at 111/6 in the tour match. The number 10 batsman, Bumrah went on to remain unbeaten at 55 off 57 deliveries after piling up a partnership of 71 runs for the last wicket with Mohammed Siraj (22).

At one stage, India had lost seven wickets for just 21 runs and were eventually bowled out on 194 in the first innings. Bumrah hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings, bringing up his half-century with a six as well.

Bumrah was given a guard of honor led by skipper Virat Kohli when he returned to the pavilion at the end of India's innings. 

Apart from Jasprit, Prithvi Shaw scored 40 runs off 29 balls and Shubman Gill added 43 runs off 58 balls. They added 63 runs for the third wicket before India collapsed.
