The ongoing pink-ball day-night warm-up game between Australia A and Indians saw a scary incident take place when Test hopeful Cameron Green was struck on the head by a vicious blow and had to leave the field due to possible concussion issues.
The incident happened when Green was in his second spell of the day-night tour game against India at the SCG when tailender Jasprit Bumrah clubbed a scorching straight drive at the 21-year-old who was unable to react in time.
The ball burst through Green's hands and hit him on the right side of the head. Non-striker Mohammed Siraj dropped his bat and immediately rushed to check on Green.
The 21-year-old sat in the middle of the pitch and was then examined by Australia A medical team, and then left the field for further checks.
Here is the video of Green being struck on his head:
Green becomes the second Australian player to get hit on the head, after Will Pucovski, another Test hopeful was hit on the helmet by Kartik Tyagi during the first practice game in Sydney a few days ago and had to leave the field as well.
