Indians faced Australia A in the first practice game before the Test series at the Drummoyne Oval in Sydney. The highlight of the game was an unbeaten century from the tall bowling all-rounder, Cameron Green.

Green remained not out on 125 in their first innings as Australia A posted 306 in 95 overs. He faced the likes of experienced Indian bowlers Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav among others.

AUS v IND 2020-21: "Haven't faced quality like that", Cameron Green lauds Indian spinners

Green told reporters in a virtual press conference, "Obviously, when you play Shield cricket, you have an idea of what you are facing. The Australian domestic competition holds you in good stead, it's a tough competition with world-class players but the match against India was a step up."

"You could obviously tell the world-class skill of Umesh Yadav. He was bowling down the breeze on a wicket that did not have enough for them. Yeah, that was incredibly tough. But I had Paine at the other end, so it was helpful to get through them. So, it was definitely tough to face," he added.

With the Australian opener David Warner ruled out of the first Test, there is a chance that Cameron Green will be included in the first Test of the series, which is a Day/Night game in Adelaide. The 21-year-old has never played a game with the pink ball so far.

Green said, "I've never actually faced it before, for whatever reason, I keep dodging the day-night games in domestic cricket. I have a training session today and it will be the first time ever that I face it or bowl with it. That will be pretty interesting."
