The third and final T20I between Australia and India is being played at the SCG, with India already 2-0 up in the series. Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to chase once again.
India started well with Washington Sundar removing Australia captain Aaron Finch for a duck and then picked the wicket of Steve Smith, clean bowling him for 24 runs. But then Matthew Wade and Glenn Maxwell got together to smash the Indian bowlers around a bit.
Wade survived an LBW decision when Indian captain Virat Kohli was late in calling for a DRS review after the replay was shown on the big screen. Maxwell was caught off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal, but he overstepped, giving the hard hitter a life.

Though Wade made his second successive half-century in the series, Maxwell seemed to be in a destructive mood as he smashed every bowler out of the park, including the quick ones. He did the same to Shardul Thakur on the second ball of the 14th over.
However, a vigilant Sanju Samson patrolling the mid-wicket boundary caught the ball and chucked it back in play while diving mid-air. The batsmen managed only two runs, as Sanju recovered to save four runs.
