Australia scored 194 batting first in the second T20I match against India being played at the SCG on December 6. Virat Kohli had won the toss and chose to bowl first, while Matthew Wade captained Australia in Aaron Finch’s place.
Wade (58), Smith (46) and useful contributions from Henriques (26) and Maxwell (22) enabled Australia to a very good total. However, it could have been more, but T Natarajan (2/20) kept things tight, while Chahal and Thakur picked a wicket each.
In reply, KL Rahul showed good hands in his 30, before falling to Tye and even Dhawan came close to losing his wicket once as a wide ball from Swepson had Wade remove the bails in a jiffy as Dhawan tried to regain his balance.

Replays showed that his backfoot grounded just in time as Wade removed the bails and the 3rd umpire gave him not out. Meanwhile, the stump mics caught Wade telling Dhawan that he was "Not Dhoni, not quick enough like Dhoni!", bringing a smile on the left-hander’s face as well.
This was a great nod to MS Dhoni, the former India wicketkeeper, who was known for his quick hands behind the stumps and he ended up with 195 stumpings in his international career, including 123 in ODIs.

Dhawan finally fell for 52 to Zampa, caught by Swepson, as India was left 95/2 in 11 overs.
