Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has congratulated his teammate T Natarajan on earning a maiden call-up to the national squad for India’s upcoming tour of Australia later this month.

Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli will leave for Australia directly from UAE after the end of the ongoing IPL 2020 on the 10th of November to play three One Day Internationals, as many as T20Is, and four-match Test series with the tour starting on 29 November.

The BCCI had to make some changes in the original list of players going for India’s upcoming tour of Australia due to certain injuries in the ongoing IPL 2020 including for Varun Chakravarthy.

Chakravarthy, who had got maiden Indian call-up in the T20I side for the three-match T20I series last month on the back of his impressive IPL 13 show for KKR, was forced to miss the golden opportunity due to shoulder injury and has been now replaced with Natarajan.

Natarajan’s incredible ability to bowl yorkers almost at will and bowling on his death over has earned him India selection apart from his sublime performance in the IPL 2020 where the SRH bowler has bowled 64 yorkers which is the most number of yorkers bowled in the season in the UAE.

In a video posted by SRH on Twitter, Warner congratulated the left-arm pacer by saying: “Congratulations Nattu, I’ll see you in Australia”.

Meanwhile, the SRH skipper said he is extremely proud of the way his team performed following a bad start to the tournament in the 13th season of the T20 league. The Australian opener said in a video, “We didn’t start too well, but at the back end we got some really good momentum given that we had 4-5 injuries.”

He signed off by saying, “To finish off the way we did and to finish where we did, I am extremely proud of the guys. Hopefully next year we can go one step further and make that final.”
