India will play three ODIs, three T20Is and four Tests during the tour of Australia.

Team India will travel Down Under for a full tour | GettyCricket Australia (CA) on Wednesday (October 28) announced fixtures for Team India’s tour Down Under, confirming that Virat Kohli and company will play four Tests on their upcoming visit while Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the traditional Boxing Day Test from December 26.

The announcement was made after Australia's second-largest city, Melbourne, lifted the months-long COVID-19 lockdown, which enabled MCG to stage the iconic Test.

The battle for the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy will kick-start with the pink-ball affair at the Adelaide Oval on 17 December. Melbourne will host the second Test while the third and fourth Tests will be played in Sydney Cricket Ground (January 7-11) and Brisbane's Gabba (January 15-19), respectively.

"Australia and India represents one of the great rivalries in world sport and we are delighted to welcome Virat Kohli's outstanding squad to Australian shores this summer," Nick Hockley of Cricket Australia said in a statement.

According to a report published in AFP, Team India will arrive in Australia on November 12 and serve quarantine and other COVID-19 protocols before the first of three one-day internationals on November 27.

After the ODI series, the three T20Is will be held in Canberra and Sydney from December 4 to December 8.
