India's head coach Ravi Shastri, his support staff and Test specialists, Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari, have all landed in Dubai and entered the bio-bubble arranged for them before their departure to Australia along with the rest of Indian squad, currently busy with IPL duties in UAE.  

Shastri, batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Bharath Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar reached UAE on Sunday (October 25) from their home cities.

“The head coach and his team arrived yesterday. They are now in isolation and getting their three mandatory RT-PCR tests done. There is a separate bio-bubble created for the support staff along with Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari,” a senior BCCI source privy to the development told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

Once Pujara and Vihari go through the necessary testing and quarantine process over the next six days, they will then train at the ICC Academy. 

Integral to India's chances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, both the top six batsmen will have Sri Lankan throwdown expert Nuwan and India’s Raghu helping them out. 

The two cricketers had been preparing since the lockdown restrictions were lifted. Vihari had net sessions with Sridhar in Hyderabad while Pujara trained at his own academy in Rajkot. 

India on Monday (October 28) announced a 28-man touring contingent as well as additional bowlers for the marquee trip, comprising three ODIs, three T20Is and four Test matches. 

A detailed itinerary for the tour is yet awaited, but it is expected to begin in late November and stretch upto early January.
