The second semi-final of ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 saw India A clashing with Bangladesh A on Friday, July 21 in Colombo.

Bangladesh A won the toss and invited India, who were unbeaten in the group stage while chasing in all three games, to bat first in the knockout clash.

Indians had a difficult time adapting to the slow and low pitch against a disciplined Bangladeshi spin attack. Only captain Yash Dhull and opener Abhishek Sharma (34) crossed the 25-run mark.

Dhull batted brilliantly to score 66 runs and got valuable support from Manav Suthar and Rajvardhan Hangargekar as India A recovered from 137/7 to post 211 on the board.

Bangladesh A got off to a confident start from openers Mohammad Naim (38) and Tanzid Hasan (51) in reply, and were coasting at 94/1 in the 18th over before spinners Nishant Sindhu (5/20) and Manav Suthar (3/32) spun a web to orchestrate a stunning collapse of 9/66 to bowl them out for 160. India A completed a hard-earned 51-run victory and booked a date with Pakistan A in Sunday's final.

There were heated moments between the players during the game as some Bangladeshi bowlers indulged in send-offs to the Indian batters.

The Indians weren't clearly happy to be at the receiving end and things boiled over when Harshit Rana said something to Soumya Sarkar after he was dismissed for 5 by Yuvrajsinh Dodiya, with the batter also responding before other players intervened to calm things down.
