Twitterati laud Rashid Khan for painting Afghanistan's flag on cheeks in The Hundred match

Rashid Khan showed his support for fight against the Taliban in Afghanistan.

T20 star Rashid Khan painted his country Afghanistan's flag on his face during Trent Rockets' match against Southern Brave in The Hundred Eliminator on Friday (August 20). His family is currently in Afghanistan which is under the control of the Taliban.

Afghanistan's government has collapsed after the Taliban took over the country and the situation is getting worse day by day. Rashid has been making posts on social media for peace and support from leaders around the world.

"Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred every day, houses & properties being destructed. Thousand families displaced.. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan, We want peace," he had tweeted.

The picture of Rashid from The Hundred's match is going viral on social media. Twitterati reacted to it and lauded the leg-spinner for the Afghanistan flag on his cheek to support the country.
