Pakistan bounced back strongly to pull off a series-levelling victory in the third and final T20I against England in Manchester this Tuesday (September 1).

Down 1-0 in the three-match rubber following a rain-abandoned first encounter and loss on Sunday, the visitors posted a massive total of 190/4 in their 20 overs on being asked to bat first after losing the toss.

Debutant Haider Ali (54 off 33 balls) showed why there is a sense of anticipation around him via a quality half-century while experienced cricketer Mohammad Hafeez responded strongly to his naysayers once again with another fluent knock (86* off 52 balls).

Chris Jordan (2/29), Tom Curran (1/32) were the pick of the English bowlers.

In the run-chase, England lost wickets at regular intervals without ever laying a solid foundation, something the team couldn't recover from till the end. That, despite noteworthy efforts from Tom Banton (46 off 31 balls) and Moeen Ali (61 off 33 balls). The lower-order did try its best but couldn't take the team through.

Shaheen Afridi (2/28), Wahab Riaz (2/26) were outstanding for Pakistan. And even though the rest conceded well in excess of 8 runs per over, Pakistan had enough runs and spells from Afridi, Riaz to cover for that.

After an important win that would've boosted the confidence for skipper Babar Azam and company, cricket community heaped praise on their impressive effort for the day.
