Indian cricketers wish Ishant Sharma as he turns 32

Ishant Sharma has played 97 Tests, 80 ODIs and 14 T20I for India from 2007- present.

Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma is celebrating his 32nd birthday today. The spearhead of the Indian Test pace attack was recently felicitated with the Arjuna Award.

Debuting in 2007 against Bangladesh at the age of 19, the lanky Delhi pacer has gone onto earn huge accolades in his long career. His second half of the career has been amazing with consistent wickets when the team needed it. He has also seen good success in limited-overs cricket as well but has not played in the Blue jersey since 2016.

Some of the best moments in Ishant’s career have been his amazing spell to Ricky Ponting in the Perth Test of 2008, his 7/74 at Lord’s against England in 2014, and his match-winning spell in the finals of -the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He is also no mug with the bat, having one half-century to his name in Tests and has often batted as a night-watchman for the Indian team.

He has also been a constant performer in the IPL as well with 72 wickets in 89 games. Meanwhile, in 97 Tests for India, he has 297 wickets to his name and in 80 ODIs, he took 115 scalps. He also has 8 wickets from 14 T20I matches.

Today, on September 2, he celebrates his 32nd birthday, Ishant Sharma received wishes from his fellow teammates from the Indian cricket fraternity on Twitter.
