The incident occurred while Warner was answering a question about his team's chances.
The 2026 edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to get underway on March 26 with an opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
On the eve of the tournament opener, the captains of eight teams attended a press conference. During the interaction with the reporters, Karachi Kings skipper David Warner didn’t hesitate in calling out the unprofessional behaviour of fellow captains.
The incident occurred while Warner was answering a question about his team's chances. As he spoke, Marnus Labuschagne (Hyderabad Kingsmen), Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars), Mohammad Rizwan (Rawalpindi Pindiz), and Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators) were seen laughing and engaged in a separate discussion.
Warner halted his response to address them directly, stating: "What's wrong? Sorry gentlemen, we have got school kids here," comparing their behaviour to that of school children.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised the PSL 2026 schedule due to a severe fuel crisis driven by the West Asia conflict, restricting matches to Karachi and Lahore and conducting them behind closed doors.
Additionally, the opening ceremony in Lahore has also been called off. The tournament will conclude with the final on May 3.
