The year 1947, when India gained independence from the British Empire, is still remembered as a turning point in Indian history. The renowned Red Fort in New Delhi hosted the flag-raising ceremony and other customary rituals.
Speaking from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's desire to host the Olympic Games in 2036. In order to find athletic talent among kids between the ages of five and fifteen, he declared a national talent hunt.
PM Modi stated that India is becoming a serious contender to bid for the 2036 Olympics and emphasized the nation's growing athletic achievements. He mentioned that in 2030, India will host the Commonwealth Games as well.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket fraternity took to X to extend their wishes on the 80th Independence Day and conveyed messages of togetherness, diversity, and patriotism, capturing the spirit of the occasion.
