India's T20I captain Rohit Sharma opened up on his face-off with New Zealand speedster Trent Boult. The two stalwarts of their teams, who have shared a dressing room for Mumbai Indians in IPL, clashed in the first T20I on Wednesday (November 17).

Boult went for 21 runs in his second over, out of which 14 runs were scored by Rohit which included 2 fours and a six. But he later dismissed the India captain and finished with figures of 2/31 in four overs.

"Boult knows my weakness and I know his strength, it's a good fight between the two. When I captain him I always tell him to bluff, and that's exactly what he did," Rohit told Star Sports at the post-match presentation.

"He put the mid-wicket back and put the fine leg up and I knew he was gonna bowl a bouncer and I was just trying to put it over the fielder but unfortunately there wasn't much space on the ball," he added.

Rohit scored 48 runs before getting out, and he was accompanied by Suryakumar Yadav, the top scorer for India with 62 runs. India chased down 165 to defeat New Zealand by five wickets in the first T20I.

India are currently 1-0 up in the three-match series with a win on Wednesday in Jaipur. They will play the next match on Friday in Ranchi to take an unbeatable lead.
