India to play first T20I against Australia in Mohali on September 20.
The Men in Blue are coming off a disappointed Asia Cup 202 outing but with the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 being announced, many feel that the time for experimentation is over and now they have six T20Is in all to find their best playing XI for the ICC event which begins in Australia from October 16 onwards.
One of the biggest positives of Asia Cup 2022 was that Virat Kohli showed a glimpse of him getting back into peak form which had deserted him for the last year or so. He scored his maiden T20I century against Afghanistan and now looked more relaxed mentally and physically, ready for the upcoming challenges.
He looked ready to rumble in a video shared by the Punjab Cricket Association on their Instagram page ahead of the first T20I. The PCA also shared photos of India captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul going about their practice in the nets.
