The Indian team, after facing Afghanistan in the one-off Test, will also clash in three ODIs. The ODI series could essentially kick-start India's preparations for the 2027 World Cup, which will be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in October and November of next year.
The one-off Test is set to start on June 6. This will be followed by the three-match ODI series that starts on June 14 in Dharamshala. The second ODI is set to be played on June 17 in Lucknow, and the series concludes in Chennai on June 20.

Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav will helm the spin division, with Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel ignored. Instead, Harsh Dubey has received his maiden India ODI call-up.
Both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have been rested for the three ODIs, with Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna leading the pace attack. Prince Yadav and Gurnoor Brar have been given their maiden ODI call-up to bolster the pace division.
