Dinesh Karthik is part of the WTC final commentary panel in Southampton.
India cricketer Dinesh Karthik, who's part of the commentary panel for ICC World Test Championship (WTC), posted a weather update from Southampton. Karthik shared a picture of the Ageas Bowl with the sun out and hinted that play could be possible on the second day of the match.
The first day of the WTC final was washed off by rain and even toss was not possible. The fans were eagerly waiting for the contest but they were eventually left disappointed with the relentless rain.

"Waking up to the sun," wrote Karthik in his tweet. It would be a huge relief for the cricket fans if the weather remains the same throughout the day.
As per ICC playing conditions guidelines for the WTC final, if required the reserve sixth day can now come into effect with six hours of play lost on Day 1 itself.
The play on the second day of the WTC final will begin at the originally scheduled time of 3 pm IST (10:30 GMT).
