ICC announces Women’s ODI and T20I teams of the decade; Mithali and Harmanpreet feature

ICC announced its teams of the decade for all formats in Men's and Women's cricket.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on December 27, announced its teams of the decade for both Men’s and Women’s cricket. This included the ICC Women’s ODI team of the decade and the Women’s T20I team of the decade as well.

Speaking of the ICC Women’s ODI team of the decade, it features Alyssa Healy, Suzie Bates, and Mithali Raj as the top three batters. Then they are followed by Meg Lanning, who is named captain of the ODI team of the decade, West Indies’ Stafanie Taylor, and England’s Sarah Taylor, who is chosen as the designated wicket-keeper.

Ellyse Perry is the all-rounder, followed South African duo of Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk. Jhulan Goswami and Anisa Mohammed complete the ICC Women’s ODI team of the decade.

Alyssa Healy, Suzie Bates, Mithali Raj, Meg Lanning (C), Stafanie Taylor, Sarah Taylor (WK), Ellyse Perry, Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp, Jhulan Goswami, Anisa Mohammed

The ICC T20I team of the decade features some familiar names as well. Meg Lanning captains this team as well, with Alyssa Healy keeping wickets and opening the innings with Sophie Devine. Suzie Bates and Harmanpreet Kaur complete the batting order along with Stafanie Taylor.

ICC names its Test team of the decade; Virat Kohli picked as captain

Deandra Dottin and Ellyse Perry come in next, followed by two fast bowlers in Anya Shrubsole and Megan Schutt. Poonam Yadav is picked as the spinner in the team.
