Last time India and Pakistan faced each other in international cricket was on October 24 in Dubai in a T20 World Cup match.
Although India and Pakistan haven't played a bilateral series in a decade, supporters from both countries are eagerly waiting for their meeting which will come in the Asia Cup 2022.
Despite the much-publicized cricket rivalry between the two countries, supporters have showed love and support for both sides even when they are not competing in the same competition. And a peek of it was seen in Multan during the third ODI match between Pakistan and the West Indies.
At the Multan Stadium, the Babar Azam-led side was en route to victory in the third game after winning the first two matches comfortably.
During the match, the cameraman caught a fan holding a poster with a message for the Rohit Sharma-led Team India. “We want to welcome Team India”.
Despite competing against each other in multi-nation tournaments such as the ICC ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy, and Asia Cup since the rise in political tensions between the two countries, India and Pakistan have never played in a bilateral series.
The last time they played in international cricket was on October 24 in Dubai in a T20 World Cup 2021 match, when Babar's team upset the Men in Blue with a record 10-wicket victory.
