The first Test between Australia and Pakistan to begin on March 4 in Rawalpindi.
Australia arrived in Islamabad for a historic tour, their first in Pakistan since 1998. They will play three Tests, three ODIs, and one T20I on the tour with the first Test to begin in Rawalpindi from March 4 onwards.
The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age reported that Ashton Agar’s partner Madeleine received a message on social media warning, Ashton, not to travel to Pakistan. The incident was immediately reported to CA and the PCB.
A team spokesperson confirmed Agar was the subject of the death threat, but team security has investigated and do not believe it is a credible threat. There is a suggestion it is from a fake Instagram account, potentially from India.
Agar was said to be in good spirits despite the direct message sent to his wife. The team will have their first training session on Tuesday before Friday’s first Test at Rawalpindi.
