Former India captain MS Dhoni, with his vast experience, has always tried to guide youngsters. There are a lot of rising talents who have shared about their priceless interaction with Dhoni which has helped them take a stride forward in their career.
One of them is India's 2018 U19 World Cup-winning team member, Shivam Mavi. Mavi has been part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise after being signed in 2018, and he was bought back in the recently concluded IPL mega-auction for INR 7.25 crore.

In an interview with CricketCountry, Mavi revealed how Dhoni’s advice helped him grow over the past two seasons in the IPL. “I had gone to Dhoni during the IPL as I was having problems with setting the field. Dhoni simplified things and explained to me what to do. And his tips have helped me over the past two IPL seasons.
"Dhoni said that field setting depends on how the wicket is playing. He also said do not think a lot about it and just focus on what you have to do,” Mavi said during the interview.
KKR management have shown faith in the 23-year-old to make an impact in the upcoming IPL seasons. So far, Mavi has played 26 matches in the cash-rich league and picked up 25 wickets with an average of 28.60.
