India white-ball vice-captain Rohit Sharma celebrated his 34th birthday today on April 30, 2021. The cricketer is currently participating in the IPL 2021 where he captains the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).

He received wishes from cricket fraternity all over the world and from his India and Mumbai Indians teammates on social media and later took to Twitter to thanks all the well-wishers and send an important message to all citizens to stay safe and on vigil in the fight against the ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

India has been recording more than 3,50,000 cases per day for the last fortnight and this has led to complete lockdown-like restrictions in every state in India and the country’s healthcare system is being overburdened with a huge number of patients and a shortage of supplies.

Hence Rohit Sharma urged the people to take precautions while going outside in his message.
