Rohit is thankful to Ritika for recording those moments so he could catch up.
Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma is currently busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he is missing out on his father's duty. His family has traveled with him to UAE, but currently, more focus is on the game.
Rohit had also missed out on the first few moments of fatherhood after the birth of his daughter Samaira. However, he added that his wife Ritika has captured it all for him.
"It's been wonderful, each and every moment. Since the day she was born, to date, I remember every moment. As a sportsperson as a cricketer I also know that I have to be away from her," Rohit said on the first episode of India Today Inspiration season 2.

The 33-year-old is disappointed he couldn't catch the first glimpse of Samaira crawling or walking. These small moments are very precious for parents. "It's very hard to say or think when she first started to crawl I wasn't there. When she first started saying words, I wasn't there. When she first started walking, I wasn't there.
"It's a bit disappointing to miss all of that but credit to my wife, she captured all those moments. I am really really thankful to have a wife like that. She wants me to be part of everything. I have not felt left out. Samaira gives the same love to me as she gives Ritika," Rohit added.
"She is also involved in whatever I do. And she is at that stage where she wants to explore everything. What is dad doing? What is mom doing? She loves the phone which we are trying to keep her away from," he said.
