IPL 2022: WATCH – Virat Kohli and other RCB players celebrate after reaching playoffs with MI beating DC

MI's victory over DC paved the way for RCB into the playoffs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday (May 21) qualified for the IPL 2022 playoffs after Mumbai Indians (MI) knocked Delhi Capitals (DC) out of the tournament.

The Delhi-based franchise was on 14 points and had a better net run rate than RCB. A win against the five-time champions would have meant curtains for the Faf du Plessis-led side.

However, MI came to RCB’s rescue, defeating DC by five wickets in a thrilling encounter at the Wankhede Stadium.

After MI’s victory, the entire RCB contingent was on cloud nine. The likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and skipper Faf du Plessis were seen celebrating Mumbai’s victory after cheering for them throughout the game.

Taking to Instagram, RCB shared pictures of the same with the caption: “ABSOLUTE SCENES! The team had so much fun cheering for @mumbaiindians tonight!”
