For the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to have a chance to qualify for the IPL 2022 playoffs, Mumbai Indians (MI) need to beat Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing clash at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Delhi-based franchise is on 14 points and has a better net run rate than RCB. A win against the five-time champions would mean curtains for the Faf du Plessis-led side.

No wonder, the RCB contingent is cheering for Rohit Sharma and company in their last league match against DC.

During the match, RCB shared a couple of posts on Instagram, in which their players and support staff members were seen keenly following the action.

“All eyes on the game. No prizes for guessing who we’re supporting!” RCB captioned one of the posts.

Earlier in the day, RCB extended support to MI by changing their colour from Red to Blue. They also shared a letter with the message: “Hey @MIPALTAN, the entire rcb team will cheer for you like #OneFamily, you go #PlayBold against DC!”

Coming to the match, DC posted 159/7 in their 20 overs against MI on the back of Rovman Powell’s 34-ball 43 and skipper Rishabh Pant’s 33-ball 39.

In reply, Mumbai Indians were 44/1 after 9 overs, with Rohit Sharma being the only batter to be dismissed.
