Ashwin took the prized scalp of Pope, courtesy of Rohit's brilliance on the field.
Having played a game-changing knock of 196 in the opening Test, Pope was once again looking ominous for the Indian team. However, Rohit cut short his stay in the middle with a sensational reflex catch.
In the second delivery of the 29th over bowled by R Ashwin, Pope went for a cut shot but didn’t get the desired connection. The thick outside edge was flying to the left of Rohit, who plucked a sharp catch at slip.
Thanks to the captain’s brilliance on the field, India saw the back of dangerous Ollie Pope for just 23 off 21 balls.
