India clean swept the T20I series 3-0 against Afghanistan.

India defeated Afghanistan in the third T20I in Bengaluru on January 17 after two super overs to sweep the series 3-0. It was one of the most entertaining T20Is of all-time which saw two super overs being played for the first time in international cricket.

India had batted first after winning the toss and thanks to 121* from Rohit Sharma and 69* by Rinku Singh, posted 212/4 from being 22/4 at one stage. In reply, fifties by their openers and a brilliant half-century by Gulbadin Naib, Afghanistan managed to level the scores.

Then India required two super overs and some brilliance from Rohit Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi to finally win the match and sweep the series 3-0.

The official social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now posted a video that perfectly captured the mood of the Indian dugout during the nail-biting final phase of the game.

India all-rounder Washington Sundar astutely summarized the enticing third T20I by calling it an “unreal” one. “This is my first such game and obviously it was unreal,” Sundar said.

Rohit Sharma was adjudged Player of the Match for his spectacular batting. India all-rounder Shivam Dube was named Player of the Series.
