The 29-year-old could only score 18 runs in the first innings of the ongoing second Test. He was dismissed by R Ashwin, who bagged a fifer, as England were bowled out on just 134 runs in reply to India's 329.
Stokes was impressive with the bat in the first Test. He had scored quick 82 runs and England would need a similar effort from him in the last innings of the second Test to save the match. Although it isn't going to be easy for him to counter-attack on a pitch which is turning into a nightmare for the batsmen.
England are already 1-0 up in the Test series so a loss in second Test would still keep their chances for World Test Championship final alive.
