Rohit Sharma scored 161 on the first day of ongoing second Test against England.
India opener Rohit Sharma turned out to be the star performer against England in the second Test. It wasn't an easy first-day pitch to bat on with spinners coming into play from the first session.
Rohit went on to score 161 runs on the first day of the match off 231 deliveries. The knock included 18 fours and a couple of sixes. His innings came a day before Valentine's Day and Mumbai Indians (MI) found out a pattern in his big knocks.

Rohit's wife Ritika Sajdeh witnessed the knock from the stands and her reactions were priceless when the India opener came close to 100 and finally achieved the milestone after a bit of scare with play and misses.
India scored 329 runs in the first innings with the help of Rohit's century. Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant also contributed with a half-century each. Pant remained unbeaten on 58 and was eventually left with no partner in the first session of the second day.
