Rohit Sharma got India off the mark with a stunning drive off Stuart Broad.
The hosts won the toss and opted to bat first but lost Shubman Gill in the very second over for a duck. Losing the opening partner, however, didn’t affect Rohit one bit as he carried on playing his natural game.
In the very first delivery of the third over, Rohit executed a glorious boundary off Stuart Broad, which also left the Indian skipper Virat Kohli in awe.
Broad bowled an overpitched delivery marginally outside off and Rohit drove it through extra cover to get India off the mark. Kohli also looked impressed with the shot as he applauded the right-handed opener from the dressing room.
