India opener Rohit Sharma on Saturday (January 16) displayed his class during his stay at the crease in the visitors’ first innings of the fourth Test against Australia at the Gabba.

In reply to Australia’s 369, Rohit provided India with a solid start as he found life easy against the Aussie pacers on a difficult deck. The right-hander scored 44 off 74 deliveries, including 6 fours before he had a brain freeze moment.

In his attempt to dominate off-spinner Nathan Lyon, Rohit chipped a delivery towards deepish mid-on and got holed out. He fell 6 runs short of his half-century as Team India lost their second wicket for 62 runs.

Rohit Sharma looked so assured against the Australian bowling attack that his loose shot and the subsequent dismissal left the cricket experts frustrated.
