According to a report published in Daily Telegraph, the Indian officials said the pair have been abused by the SCG crowd for the past two days and it was all racist in nature.
The report further says that there were dramatic scenes outside the Indian dressing rooms after stumps on Day 3, with ICC and stadium security officers locked in long discussions with Bumrah, Siraj and members of team management.
Senior Indian players including skipper Ajinkya Rahane also had a word with the match officials and security officials at the end of play.
With only 10,000 fans allowed in the stadium amid COVID-19 pandemic, every word was likely to be heard clearly and the allegations were reportedly nasty.
Before leaving the ground, Bumrah spoke to security officials followed by Siraj, who is featuring only in his second Test.
Apparently, umpires and match referee David Boon also walked past India’s change room.
