Virat Kohli will lead India on the tour of South Africa in 2018

Team India has reached South Africa for the three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is series which will begin from January 5th, 2018 in Newlands, Cape Town.

Indian team captain Virat Kohli has also joined the team along with his better half Anushka Sharma and today, BCCI uploaded a video on their official Twitter account of Virat Kohli getting back into the game zone, by hitting a few throw downs during the team practice.

Team India opted to have practice sessions in order to acclimatize with the conditions in South Africa, instead of playing a practice game on December 30 and 31 in Boland. This change is schedule was not welcomed by former cricketers, who felt that Team India needed some match practice before playing the first Test on Jan 5.

But captain Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri opted to continue with their plans of having practice sessions on the scheduled days of play.
