India opener Shikhar Dhawan is known for his charming wit and contagious laughter and he was caught on camera doing the same thing during the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on August 22, 2022.
India, who lead the series 2-0, batted first after KL Rahul completed a hat-trick of winning the toss and when India openers Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul walked out to bat in the middle, fans noticed something odd about the jersey Shikhar was wearing.
It had the number 54 on the back and the name was taped up. It was then revealed that Dhawan had worn the jersey of Shardul Thakur and Dhawan also had to ask the Indian physio to tape up the name.

However, something more interesting was seen during the 27th over of the Indian innings when Dhawan was relaxing in the dressing room after his dismissal. The camera caught a fan with a handmade sign asking for a shirt from Shikhar Dhawan.
Dhawan saw the fan’s sign and in reaction, gestured by trying to remove the shirt he was wearing with a large smile, which also led to his teammates laughing as well. "Get along, Shikhar. Make a donation," renowned sports presenter and commentator Alan Wilkins said on air.
