Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza heaped praise on Virat Kohli ahead of the three-match ODI series against India, starting on August 18. Raza is in excellent form right now, and when asked for advice for struggling batter Kohli, the all-rounder gave a heartwarming response.

He said that Kohli is in the same bracket as the legendary American golfer Tiger Woods and widely considered the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali, and credited the Indian batsman for inspiring cricketers to take fitness seriously.

In an interview on a YouTube channel, Sikandar Raza said: “Virat Bhai is an all-format player. I would like to put Virat in the same bracket as Tiger Woods and Muhammad Ali. These people kind of revolutionized their sports. They thought outside the box and they tried something new which was later followed by everybody.”

The all-rounder added, “Cricket was always about fitness and XYZ, but the way Virat took that part (fitness) of the game forward for the younger generation to follow, that is commendable and people should give him enough credit for that.”

On being asked what advice he would give to Kohli, Raza said: “I don't think that I am experienced enough to give advice to a guy who has got close to 16-20 thousand career runs, What do I tell him? I can tell him nothing.”

He signed off by saying, “People should stay silent and let the man (Virat) have peace. Leave him alone and he will find his peak again.”
