The 18th match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL 2023) saw Jemimah Rodrigues take an amazing diving catch to get rid of Hayley Matthews as Delhi Capitals clashed with Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium on March 20, 2023.
Meg Lanning of DC won the toss and chose to bowl first and Marizanne Kapp stunned the MI team by dismissing Yastika Bhatia (1) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (0) in the 3rd over itself with a score of 6 runs on the board.

Then in the fourth over bowled by veteran Shikha Pandey, Hayley Matthews tried to force the pace of the game and whipped a length ball wide of the mid-on fielder. However, Jemimah Rodrigues had anticipated the shot well and moved swiftly towards her right and gobbled a brilliant diving catch.
The importance of Matthews' wicket was visible on Jemimah’s face as she and her DC teammates celebrated the prized scalp.
