Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCBW) and Delhi Capitals Women (DCW) clashed in the final of the WPL 2026 at the Kotambi Stadium on February 5, 2026. RCB captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and chose to bowl first.
The pitch was a batting beauty, and Lizelle Lee (37) and Shafali Verma (20) did well to add 49 runs for the first wicket. But Laura Wolvaardt hammered 44 in 25 balls, and captain Jemimah Rodrigues made 57 in 37 balls to put DC on the path to a very good score in the final.
Chinelle Henry then smashed 35* in 15 balls to take DCW to 203/4 in 20 overs, a daunting score in the summit clash of WPL 2026.
RCBW didn’t get off to a very good start, as in-form Grace Harris perished for 9 runs, bowled by Chinelle Henry. But then Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll dominated the DCW bowling and hit at least one boundary in every over of the RCB innings. Mandhana and Voll added 165 runs in 92 balls for the second wicket.
Voll got out for 79 in 54 balls with 14 fours, while RCB captain Mandhana made 87 in 41 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes. However, their dismissal brought back DCW in the game, as they quickly dismissed Richa Ghosh as well.
With 10 runs needed off the final over, Radha Yadav starred with 12* in five balls as RCBW won the final by 6 wickets and became the two-time WPL champions.
The cricket fraternity lauded RCBW for the dominating win over DCW in the WPL 2026 final and praised Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll for their batting masterclass as well.
