Nandini Sharma made history in the Women's Premier League (WPL 2026) on Sunday by being the first Delhi Capitals (DC) bowler to complete a hat-trick.
The 24-year-old accomplished the feat against Gujarat Giants at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, concluding with impressive statistics of 4-0-33-5.
Nandini completed her hat-trick in the 20th over of the Gujarat Giants' innings by dismissing Kanika Ahuja, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, and Renuka Singh. The sequence started with Ahuja getting stumped with a smart slower ball, then Gayakwad was bowled through the middle stump, and finally Renuka Singh was LBW after misreading a length ball that broke her leg stump.
Nandini became the fourth bowler in WPL history to achieve a hat-trick, joining Issy Wong, Grace Harris, and Deepti Sharma.
