West Indies registered a T20I series win against India after they won the fifth and final T20I in Florida by 8 wickets to pocket the five-match series 3-2. The last time West Indies defeated India in a extended bilateral series was in an ODI series in 2006.

Chasing 166 to win the match and the series, Brandon King hammered 85* while opening the innings and added 107 runs for the second wicket with Nicholas Pooran (47) as the Windies romped home in the 18th over and with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier, India had posted 165/9 in 20 overs with Suryakumar Yadav top-scoring with 61 runs and Romario Shepherd taking 4/31 for the hosts.

After claiming a historic win, the West Indies wicketkeeper could not attend the post-match presentation as he had to catch his flight. However, Pooran expressed his excitement in a quirky way through an Instagram reel.

Pooran posted a reel along with his fellow teammate Akeal Hosein, where Pooran did the 'zipping up the mouth' gesture, while Hosein blew a kiss.

"If you know you know," the caption of the reel read.

Pooran had a brilliant outing with the bat as he emerged as the highest run-scorer of the five-match T20I series with a total of 176 runs. He was named the Player of the Series as well for his contribution.

Earlier during the third T20I, the West Indies star got dismissed for 20 and India skipper Hardik Pandya took this as an opportunity to rattle Pooran.

"Nicky (Pooran) didn't come out to bat and that allowed us to keep our pacers back, also allowed Axar to bowl his four overs. If Nicky wants to hit, let him hit me and that was the plan, I enjoy such competition. I know he is going to hear this and will come hard at me in the fourth T20I," Hardik had said in a post-match presser.

Then in the fifth T20I, Pooran hit Hardik for two sixes in two balls. Pooran also shared a meme about this instance on his Instagram account.
