Virat Kohli and the Indian team have switched to white-ball mode as they prep for the three-ODI series against the West Indies which begins on July 27, 2023, with the first match to be played in Barbados.
Kohli enjoyed a very good Test series with scores of 76 and 121 in the two Tests, but now the focus shifts to the preparation for the World Cup 2023 as India has only a handful of matches to finalize their plans and squad for the ICC event.
He has not looked back since ending his international century drought during last year’s Asia Cup. Then he had an excellent T20 World Cup in Australia where he top-scored in the tournament. He since has scored centuries in ODIs also, with one in Bangladesh and two versus Sri Lanka at home.
With form and luck finally on his side, Virat Kohli is enjoying his time in international cricket, and the joy he feels playing the game was recently seen when he was seen making fun of Hardik Pandya while facing him in the nets.
Ahead of the series, the Indian team prepped in Barbados in the nets and in a viral video, Hardik Pandya is seen bowling to Virat Kohli. He bowls a widish delivery to the batter, who hits it through the off-side.
Pandya then stares at him with Kohli staring right back at him, but as soon as Pandya turns his back to walk to his bowling mark, Kohli hilariously begins to signal a four.
