Ace Indian batter Virat Kohli finally broke the drought of overseas Test centuries as he scored his first ton since December 2018 on day two of the ongoing second Test against West Indies in Trinidad.
India is pushing themselves into a very good position on a slow pitch as they resumed on the second day at 288/4 with Virat Kohli unbeaten on 87 and Ravindra Jadeja on 36*.
The duo took some time to settle in and then the moment arrived when Kohli cover drove a wide delivery from Shannon Gabriel for a four.
This was his 29th Test ton and 76th overall in international cricket. Kohli also drew equal to Don Bradman in the list of most Test centuries and became the first batter to hit a ton in his 500th international game.
He celebrated the ton by hugging Ravindra Jadeja and then smiled while taking a bow like Shubman Gill does to celebrate his milestone and then kissed his wedding ring which he wears around his neck.
