India batter Shubman Gill was seen enjoying the vibe during the first day of the first Test against West Indies which got underway in Dominica’s Windsor Park stadium on July 12.
The Indian team had a great outing on day one as despite losing the toss and having to bowl first on a batting-friendly track, the bowlers managed to bundle out West Indies for 150 runs with debutant Alick Athanaze top-scoring with 47 runs.
For India, R Ashwin was the star with 5/60, his 33rd Test fifer, and Ravindra Jadeja picked three wickets.
In reply, India debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his talent with 40*, while skipper Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 30 as India closed day one on 80/0.
Shubman Gill dropped one place down in the batting order by his choice as Cheteshwar Pujara was dropped from the squad for these two Tests and usually the opener, Gill will now bat at the no.3 spot.
He fielded at short-leg when spinners were in action and were in a jolly mood as the Windies' innings was drawing to a close. With one wicket left to bundle out the Windies, Shubman Gill was seen dancing at short leg in a viral video, while Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli watched him.
