Ahead of the fourth T20I against the West Indies on Saturday (August 6) in Florida, veteran Dinesh Karthik hailed Team India's bench strength and said that they can field two-three strong teams at the same time at present.
Keeping the busy international schedule in mind, the BCCI and national selectors have started to rotate players heavily as it gives them the opportunity to rest the senior cricketers and give opportunities to young players to show their talent at the highest level.
Dinesh Karthik told reporters in Florida ahead of the fourth T20I match: “Right now in the Indian team, we have the potential to put out two teams or maybe even three teams in terms of the number of players available. I don’t think many countries can boast of that.”

Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper-batter said that whoever is selected in the 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 should be proud, as there is stiff competition for the places in the team.
He added, “Players who are part of the final 15 (for the T20 WC) should realize how important and how beautiful it is to be part of this team and how proud we should be of representing our country on a world stage.”
Karthik said that Team India would need to do a lot of things right and a little bit of luck to win the T20 World Cup 2022, to be held in Australia between October 16 and November 13.
He signed off by saying, “There is no one thing to clinch it. You need a lot of things to be done. The process is set right in terms of batting, the intent, bowling and execution. You do need a little bit of luck when you go to multi-nation tournaments.”
