Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the best finds for India in T20Is. Considered among the most versatile batter, the Mumbaikar has set the stage on fire in the shortest format of the game and is currently ranked second in the ICC T20I rankings for batters.

Of late, Suryakumar has been India’s mainstay in the T20I line-up. After scoring a century against England at Trent Bridge, the right-hander continued his form in the ongoing T20I series against West Indies.

Suryakumar was asked to open the innings in the series. Although he looked promising in the first two games, he failed to convert his starts. However, in the third T20I, he took the Caribbean attack to the cleaners.

Suryakumar Yadav stole the show and played a blistering knock of 76 runs in just 44 balls. The Mumbai batter smashed 8 fours and 4 sixes in his knock and was also awarded Player of the Match for his heroics.

After the match, Suryakumar was interviewed by his Mumbai Indians (MI) teammate Ishan Kishan, who hilariously tried to pull his leg by pointing out that the right-hander only scores runs when his wife is not present in the stands.

"Mere paas ek bahot important sawaal aaya hai, aapse he mujhe wo stat aapke baare mein pata chala hai. Jo aapne bhi notice kia hai (I have a very important question with me, you yourself told me about this stat since you have noticed it yourself). I love you bhabhi but I have to ask this question.

"I have come to know that bhabhi had not come to watch the match at Trentbridge where you scored a century. Then she came to watch all the matches. Then again she did not come today and you scored 76 runs, what do you have to say about this and I would want you to give the same answer which you did in the dugout to us," Ishan Kishan said in a video posted on BCCI’s Twitter account.

Replying to this, Suryakumar cheekily said that the presence of her partner is not necessary on the ground as she’s close to his heart.

"Whenever somebody lies, he stammers, I won't stammer. The partner's presence on the ground is not necessary, what is important is that the person should be there with you. And she is here in this country with me. And I have got a tattoo of her name as well, so she stays close to my heart. Since she is there in the country with me, her power comes to the field as well. Thank you so much," he said.
