In a big development, it is now certain that the final two T20Is of the five-match series between India and West Indies will be held in the United States.

Dark clouds were hovering over the last two games as some of the players hadn’t received their US visas but according to the latest Cricbuzz report, all the members of India and West Indies teams have been officially cleared to travel to the US and will play the fourth and fifth T20Is in Florida on August 6 and August 7 respectively.

After days of uncertainty, the visa issue was sorted out following the intervention of the Guyana government. Irfan Ali, the President of Guyana, had to intervene to get the travel approvals.

"It was a timely and influential diplomatic effort by His Excellency," Ricky Skerritt, the president of Cricket West Indies (CWI), quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

The report further claims that 14 members of the Indian squad didn’t have travel approval for the United States. They were all flown to Georgetown in Guyana after the conclusion of the third T20I in St. Kitts on Tuesday (August 2).

India skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid also addressed the media at the US Embassy in Georgetown.

Meanwhile, Indian cricketers like Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Ravi Bishnoi, Suryakumar Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav have already reached Miami as they were allowed to travel. They will be joined by the rest of the teammates on Thursday (August 4) night.

"They can fly only tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. All Visa applications have been approved but passports are not to be returned until this afternoon," Skerritt said, revealing the reason for the delayed travel.

"All that the CWI could do has been done. Last night's charter to Miami, for those previously with visas, was at greater financial risk to delay it than to operate it as previously planned," he added.

Having won the third T20I by seven wickets, Team India are leading the five-match series 2-1.
