Arshdeep Singh not only saved a couple of his teammates by lending them his India jersey but also impressed one and all with his tremendous bowling in the recent second T20I against West Indies, which India lost by 5 wickets on August 1 in St. Kitts.
After being asked to bat first India managed just 138 runs on the board as Obed McCoy registered the best bowling figures by a West Indian in T20Is, taking 6/17 in his 4 overs. In reply, Indian bowlers did a good job of making life difficult for opposition batters to score freely and the West Indies only managed to win the match in the last over, with Brandon King top-scoring with 68.
One of the most impressive feats was left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh bowling two mind-blowing overs at the death to keep India alive in the contest despite the low total put on the board by the touring batters.

Arshdeep bowled the 17th and the 19th over in the game, giving away just 4 and 6 runs respectively. Overall, he finished his quota of 4 overs with 26 runs and a wicket to his name.
The wicket was that of Rovman Powell, who was clean bowled with a peach of a yorker by Arshdeep, bowled from around the wicket and which honed onto the batter’s off-stump.

In the first match, Arshdeep had picked 2/24 in his 4 overs and has been impressive thus far. And now, the young seamer is showing why he should be on that flight to Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022.
