The second T20I between West Indies and India which is to be played at Warner Park in Basseterre in St. Kitts and had a start time of 8 pm IST has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
It has been conveyed by Cricket West Indies that due to the delay in the arrival of luggage of both teams from Trinidad to St. Kitts, the second T20I will now begin with a two-hour delay at 10 pm IST (12:30 pm local time).
“Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St Kitts from Trinidad. As a result, today’s match 2nd Gold medal T20 Cup match is due to start at 12:30 pm (11:30 am Jamaica/10 pm India). CWI regrets any inconvenience caused to our valued fans, sponsors, broadcast partners, and all other stakeholders,” the CWI statement read.
India leads the five-T20I series 1-0 with a 68-run win in the first match in Trinidad on July 29.
