WI v IND 2022: WATCH- Mohammed Siraj rattles West Indies top order with twin strikes in one over

India won the 3rd ODI by 119 runs via DLS method and won the series 3-0.

Mohammed Siraj picked 2/14 | GettyIndia registered a 119-run win in the third ODI over West Indies via the DLS method to clean-sweep the series 3-0. The main reason for India’s win was Shubman Gill’s 98* who was robbed of a much-deserved century due to rain curtailing the Indian innings.

The West Indies needed 257 runs to win in 35 overs but were bowled out for 137 runs in 26 overs. The catalyst to this downfall of the home side was India pacer Mohammed Siraj who broke the back of the Windies side with two wickets in the second over of the innings.

Siraj first knocked over Kyle Mayers with a delivery that shaped into the left-hander and went through him to take his stumps, leaving the opener stunned and he trudged back to the pavilion for s golden duck.

The next batter Shamarh Brooks played out the next delivery, but after that, Siraj trapped him LBW. Brooks had a discussion with Hope about taking a review but then went back without using one. Replays showed that the ball would have crashed into the stumps and was hitting in line as well.

Hope (22) and Brandon King (42) then counterattacked with a 47-run partnership in 50 balls. Nicholas Pooran (42) also tried to put the Indian bowlers under pressure, but the pressure to score at a quick pace was too much.

Yuzvendra Chahal picked 4/17, while Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur took two wickets each.
