After a week and 10 days of exhausting timetable which featured matches one after another and a couple of travel days from England to the Caribbean, Team India players had a day off, especially with the ongoing three-match ODI series against West Indies in the pocket.
The first two matches of the ongoing three-match ODI series have been cliffhangers, to say the least. India won the first match by 3 runs and then the second match was won by 2 wickets as the team found it difficult to negotiate the bowlers on the Queen’s Park Oval surface in Trinidad despite scores of 300 runs in all four innings.
The second-string Indian side under skipper Shikhar Dhawan played two matches in three days and now have a two-day off period before the third and final ODI on July 27. This will be followed by a five-match T20I series which will be even more hectic.
The players had a day out at the beach along with their families and friends. The players went to the famous Pigeon Point beach in Trinidad and Tobago and enjoyed themselves to the hilt.
The gang of youngsters, Suryakumar Yadav, Akshar Patel Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Avesh Khan were also present while others gave it a miss.
